Redstone Construction CEO Learns About Blue Envelope in Hospital Recovery Room

“How did you find this place?” I asked.

“Eleanor’s travel planner,” she said. “She specializes in medical recovery retreats.”

“What is the name of the agency?” I asked.

“Apex Luxury Travel,” she said, her eyes meeting mine without a flicker.

I looked down at the gold foil voucher, my thumb catching on the embossed border.

“They took care of everything,” she said. “All we have to do is get on the flight.”

“I will have to check the schedule with Brandon,” I said.

By one o’clock, the wind was pushing dry dust across the parking lot of the Redstone building in RiNo, carrying the sharp, sweet smell of fresh pine framing from the active site next door.

I paid the twenty-five dollar fee at the downtown garage and walked up the concrete steps to our headquarters, my hip aching with every second step.

The office was quiet, save for the low hum of the main server rack in the utility closet behind my desk.

I sat in my leather chair and pulled up the private network folder Brandon had saved on my desktop.
