Boston Mother Cancels Twenty Two Million Dollar Wedding Gift After Morning Betrayal

“I will not put you in jail, but you will never see a dime of my money,” I said, my voice steady and cold.

Michael’s hand dropped to his side.

He reached into his pocket, pulled out the white plastic key card, and threw it onto the polished mahogany.

He turned and walked toward the doorway, his steps heavy on the Persian rug.

The front door clicked shut a moment later, the sound echoing through the empty hallway of the townhouse.

I sat back down at the table, the silence in the room suddenly feeling very large.

Avery pulled the red leather binder toward him, opening it to the primary asset schedule.

“Are you certain about this, Beatrice?” Avery asked, his slow voice filled with a quiet concern. “Once you sign these documents, the twenty-two million dollars will transfer directly to the Boston Housing Foundation for Single Mothers.”

“I am certain,” I said.

“Michael will be entirely excluded from the residuary estate as well,” Avery said. “He will receive nothing from the family trust.”

“He made his choice when he handed over that key card,” I said.
