Boston Mother Cancels Twenty Two Million Dollar Wedding Gift After Morning Betrayal

“She has been controlling you your entire life, Michael,” Victoria said.
“We needed to make sure she didn’t ruin our day,” Victoria added.
I kept my eyes on Victoria, watching the color drain from her cheeks.
“This is your handwriting, Victoria, and this is your brother on my security camera,” I said.
Victoria’s face turned entirely pale as the video played on the tablet.
She reached out to touch the screen, but her hand stopped an inch away, her fingers trembling.
“This is a mistake,” Michael said, his voice dropping to a fast, apologetic whisper as he stepped between his wife and the table.
“It is not a mistake, Michael,” I said, keeping my spine perfectly straight.
“Thomas was just playing a joke,” Michael said, running his hand through his hair until it stood up in nervous peaks. “He didn’t mean anything by it, Mother, he was just caught up in the pre-wedding excitement.”
“He had my spare key card,” I said.
“I gave it to him,” Michael said, his eyes darting to the floor. “But only because he said he wanted to leave a gift on the kitchen counter for you, to surprise you before the ceremony.”
