Henry stood perfectly still, his eyes fixed on the green linoleum floor.
“I did not go near the front counter yesterday morning,” Henry said.
“I was in the back alley breaking down the cardboard delivery boxes until ten o’clock.”
“We have fifty-two voided cash sales over the last month, Henry,” Jim said, his voice dropping.
